I’ve been MIA for the past couple months, but I’m back now! And I figured a special birthday post would be a great way to get back on my blogging game. I’m thinking my next post will be a November Outfit Diaries of sorts, so stay tuned! :)

On November 27th, 2015, I turned 24. It was a very special day, all thanks to my wonderful boyfriend who elaborately orchestrated a whole day of fun finished off with a surprise party with friends and ice cream cake.

I started my day off by opening a few presents and putting together my makeup and style using some of the items I received. I chose this faux-suede skirt and oversized button-down with elbow patches and added a plain white fitted T-shirt that I already had. I used my Morphe 35O palette to create a cut crease eye look to match the autumny suede tones, and added my favorite red lipstick at the moment, Nyx Liquid Suede in “Kitten Heels”, for a classic vibe.

First on the agenda of birthday festivities was holiday decorating! I just love this time of year, and it was fitting that my birthday fell on the day after Thanksgiving this time around :)

Next up was mani/pedi’s with bae followed by a bit of lazy Black Friday shopping at the mall and a free birthday peppermint mocha from Starbucks.

The night ended with dinner at my favorite restaurant, Public House, where I had a delicious meal of stuffed quail with grits and a side of mashed potatoes… and of course bae had to poke fun at me for photographing my food >.< Ice cream cake with friends at my surprise party was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
